Accessibility Services
The American Job Centers provide workforce services for job seekers with disabilities. We welcome all community members and are committed to providing the highest quality services possible. Our staff wants to provide you with accommodations, assistance, support, and resources that will help you to be successful. In accordance with the section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, The Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Nondiscrimination and Equal Opportunity Act of the Workforce Investment Act, we are legally required to provide reasonable accommodations to our customers who have a disability.
Accessible computer technology is available to assist persons with disabilities in their job search activities in the job centers in Johnson City and Kingsport. Accessible workstations are adjustable to allow easy wheelchair access and keyboard positioning. Each has special assistive software that is helpful to persons who are challenged by:
